Help ! B1/B2 Visa

Hi, I need some advice. I have trawled the forums and the net but can find no one else in this situation.

I applied for a B1/B2 Visa, at the interview in London on Monday I was approved, and told my visa would be with me in 5 - 7 days.

I received a note it would be available to collect from the couriers today. I have been to collect it and there is my passport, with no Visa and a 214(b) letter.

Could this be an error? As I was always under the impression that approval at interview was final?

I don't understand; and I also believe this excludes me from travelling on my current ESTA; as my business relies on importing things from the US to the UK this has totally messed me up!

Any advice gratefully received.

Approval at interview is not Final. They still do some automated background verification (they call it administrative processing) & can reject/deny visa after interview.
