Parents visa issued at chennai consulate

Hi,
I am happy to let you know that my parents visa is granted at chennai consulate on june 8th with the help of telugu translator. Their visa was rejected in january 2006 after couple of questions despite of their couple of visits ealrier to US.. The reason they rejected first time is because we are 2 daughters staying in US.

This time visa officer asked several questions on both of us and finally granted multiple visa. Thanks for the forum. It was great help in reading the forums.

congratulations to your parents!!
My situation is like yours... We are two sisters living in the USA and do not have anyother siblings. Can you tell me how you went about with the procedure... meaning who sponsored and what all documents you provided... and what all the other sister didnt have to provide etc...
In my case my parents visa has been rejected twice so far since 2000 and we are really desperate to get them here for 2-3 months this fall!!

Any help from you will be highly appreciated..

hi suco,
we made no change in papers. in both the cases VO never asked for docs..only thing is visa officer is different and asked several questions to my parents unlike first officer.. i wud suggest u take appt in native language..my parents mentioned that there is a seperate counter for tanslators...and translators r really helpful...
