  • Retiring on June30th - Appointment in Nov

    Hi there,

I am taking B2 Visa PA for my Parents. My Father is retiring on June 30th 2006. I am getting an appointment in Novemeber 2006. In DS156 form, question 20, Should he mention that he is employeed? or because he is retiring by June end, shud he mention that he is retired.

Anyone who has awareness on this, Please help.

    Thanks!!!

I think you should mention "retired" as he will be retired at the time of interview.

    Regards,

That can depend what date they put on DS156 while signing.

But at the time of interview if the VO asks NOC they may not produce.

So better to put retired, and can say retired 5 months back when asked what is your profession/ when did you retire?
