  • Visitor Visa - Help Needed

    Hi ,

I am 30 years old and currently working in India . I am planning to visit US on a self sponsored trip and looking to apply visitor visa to US. I have a cousin in US , I was wondering if I need to mention her in the application while applying visitor visa.If so, then Is there is any documentation needed from her. I am planning to visit her for a day or two.

    Appreciate your quick help.

    Thanks,
    Neha

yes you should mention her, no there is nothing she needs to do unless she is sponsoring you which you just said she wasn't
This is strictly an opinion and should not be misconstrued as legal advice. The use of this information is strictly at your own risk.

The form asks for your immediate relatives (i.e. your parent, brother(s), sister(s) or kids). Cousins are not required, unless they are sponsoring your visit. Sponsoring yourself for the visit is the best bet.
