My parents got visa in 2nd attempt on 6th June (First was in Jan). Passport rcvd on 10th. 10yr multiple entry. Thanks for all help rcvd from Immihelp.
App time was 9-30AM and reached there around 7-30. Came out at 10-15.
In first counter they collected DS156, 157, passport, appointment letter and sponsor letter to consulate. He arranged papers in another folder and gave back.
At window, the person was Indian and he was very polite. Kannada translator was a lady and also was very good.
Questions/ans: did not ask any question to my mom.
dad: Good morning.

cons: where are you going ?
dad: city name
cons: how long you want to go ?
dad: 4months (last time we wrote 6months)
cons: what are you doing ?
dad: retired.

dad: son in India and daughter in US.

dad: ...
cons asked for documents and my dad gave all my husbands docs and his docs together.
He saw my husbands bank letters, salary slips, Income tax and my dads CA letter (containing his property evaluation) in detail. Then he told your visa is granted and enjoy the trip.
My dad is retired and mom house wife. They have land and house properties.
In First attempt they did not give any reason for rejection and also wrong appointment date was stamped in passport. They did not ask anything about reson and date etc.
