Hi All,
My parents had their appointment today at New Delhi Consulate and their visa was approved. We don't know the duration of the visa yet. I guess we would have to wait for the passports to come back.
My father retired last month and my mother is a housewife. Me and my brother both are in US (on H1B) and my brother was the only one shown as their sponsor.
At the consulate, things went very smoothly. The interviewer was very cooperative and asked the following questions to my father (none to my mother):
Where is your son and what does he do?
How many children do you have?
Where is your other son?
What do you do?
Do you have property in India?
No additional documents were asked for and visa was approved.
I would like to thank immihelp and other members of the forum who have helped in preparing the documents and in other details.
