Duration of Stay

Hi,

My parents are visiting USA for the first time and they got 6 month duration of stay in I-94. I just wanted to know if it's advisable for them to leave USA 1 or 2 day before the mentioned date in I-94.
Example: if the I-94 has Aug 30, 2006, then is it recommended to leave USA on Aug 28 or 29 for that matter or does it have to be few weeks before the specified date in I94?

It does not matter. You can stay any time up to the date in I-94. You can also leave on Aug 30 without any problems.

How long before you can re-enter again...

Hi,

I am just wondering, how long do a person have to wait outside of the US before re-entering back, when they have just maxed out their 6 month stay that was granted to them during their latest entry. I have head different stories regarding this matter, some people re-enter back within 3 months time or even less. Some say, there is a big chance that you will be sent back (airport to airport) to your country of origin immediately.

General rule is to wait for 6+ months before re-entering...but if you have a valid reason you can reenter but it all depends officer @ POE
