Self sponsored trip - Documents needed?

Hi,

My wife's Uncle wants to visit us and he wants to sponsor himself. He is showing his bank balance, tax returns etc. In this scenario what documents I need to send him apart from the invitation letter?

Is Birth certificate necessary? I do not have a birth certificate. I have been using 10th marksheet and passport for proof of DOB.

2. Birth certificate is not necessary for sponsoring wife's uncle.

Please explain what documents I (Inviter) need to provide, if I am not sponsoring the visitor?
The link contains all the documents list, but which ones are applicable for me if I am not supporting the visitor?

If you are not sponsoring, you don't really have to send anything.
