I good friend of mine plans to visit this year and has put my name down on his DS_156.. Do I need to send him sponsorship papers. He had received a B2 visa before (once in 1998 when he came to the US for 6 weeks) and then in 2001 but didnt actually use the visa. Each time 6 months each. He has been working for a couple airlines but since 2002 he has been an independant consultant and helped in some family biz ventures... he has a new company since this year, and he will be showing employment with this company very soon and has revenue from contracts this year... probably have an anualized income of about 4-5 Lakhs..
What documents if any should he carry.. Will a gap in employment be a problem? Do I need to send sponsorship... How much money should he show in his bank account..He is single and 33..
