  • B2 Visa query (Mumbai)

    Hi,
I am a Green Card holder.
My brother, his wife, their two kids (5 and 7yrs) and my mother (78 yrs) are planning to visit us for vacation.
My sister and their family are not planning to visit.

In this situation, what would be the best thing for them to do.
My mother plans to stay with us for a couple of months but my brother will go back to India in 2 weeks.
In such case, should my Mother apply along with my brother as a dependent or should I sponsor my mother?

I was reading the forum and other visa requirements links https://travel.state.gov/content/tri...t/visitor.html
It seems that self sponsoring is better than someone from US sponsoring them.

Does anyone here has recent experience with such a situation and what would you suggest?
Also in this case, what documents would be good to present to the consulate during the interview and what additional documents may be required at the port of entry?

    Thanks

Yes, self sponsoring visa is always better. Let them apply together.
