Schedule it around the time you submitted your documents to Consulate.

Can I wait for my visa to be approved and then do it?

Does it matter when I make an appointment?

It need to be done before your visa application is processed.

I am confused. I have not made an OFC appointment yet but I got my passport today with approved Visa.

Do I still need to make OFC appointment?

No, seems like you don't need it now.

Have you been fingerprinted earlier? Since you applied under IWP, I assume you already had visa & just renewed it?

First of all, thank you for following up all this time.

I don't remember if I have been fingerprinted earlier (old age memory problem I guess). I got my first visitor visa in Feb 2008. And yes, I just renewed it under IWP.

I am not 100% sure, but they started fingerprinting around 2008 only, so if you got visa on or after 2008, you don't need to go to OFC again.

But, you are good for now.
