Kannada or Telugu

If I get a visa appt for English, can I request an interpreter for Kannada or Telugu at the time of interview?

I heard that Chennai consulate is very strict and most of the time they will not provide interpreters if you have not booked appointment in that regional language.

Do not take chance, if you parents or in-laws are not comfortable in english, take appt in their regional language.
