Same day Passport pickup- Rush Service

Hi,
I had a an urgent question. My parents have their interview on July 11. If they are granted the visa, is it possible for them to pick up the passport the same day through RUSH. The reason I'm asking is because they have to go for their UK visa process the next day and they need passports before thatand they are traveling from Tirunelveli to Madras just for this purpose. They have their train reservations and everything done and if its not possible for them to get the passport the same day from US embassy they might have to change their travel plans. Has anyone used RUSH service before, and how does it work. Waiting for any possible clarification. Thanx a lot!!

I don't think then can pickup the Passport on the same day, as it needs to be delivered back Visa application center for delivery to your place.

My parents picked up there passport same day in evening at Mumbai VFS. I am not sure about other cities.

Parents got Visa today

Hi All,
Thanks to those who replied to my queries. My parents got their visa this morning, July 11th 8:15 a.m at Chennai. Not sure for how long though. It was very simple process for them, only a few questions asked.
1. How many children you have.(We are two sisters, sister in UK)
2. How long did u serve in The Indian Airforce.
3. What was your rank when you retired.
4. Show me the sponsor documents.(I had filed everything in two seperate folders one named Sponsor and one named visitor with post its on every document explaining what it was). He gave the whole file but the officer didn't even open it and said - "You got the visa, pay your fees".

I had sponsored my parents visa, though I sent all of my husbands documents also(like pay stubs and employment certificate). We are green card holders.

They decided to back to Tirunelveli pick up the passport whenever it arrives and go back to Chennai next week for UK visa again.
