My in laws went for Visitors visa - stamping to the Chennai consulate in November and were denied the same - insufficient ties with homeland . Following were the questions asked
1. Do you have any other children ( Answer no)
2. Are you retired ( Answer :Yes)
3. Are your parents alive ( Answer : No)
4. Reason for visiting US -( Answer : Visit son who is the the states as well as tourism)
Please note we are not asked any other documents or questions to justify on property etc.
Planning to re-apply again next month and had few queries :
1. Should we still apply together for them?
2. Does self sponsored verses sponsored by children impact visa denials?
3. What different can we do this time to prove stronger ties with homeland?
