  • Qualified for interview waiver. But I am still asked for scheduling OFC appointment

    Hi,
I am renewing my visa (B1/B2) and I qualify for interview waiver. But on https://cgifederal.secure.force.com website, it asks for scheduling OFC appointment (Mumbai). Do I need to schedule that? If yes, do I need to separately submit the passport and visa application (which for the closest is Ahmedabad).

This is so confusing since I thought the waiver program would mean I simply need to submit my application at the nearest submission center (Ahmedabad).

    Thank you!

When was your last visa issued? Was is before 2008? If yes, you'll need to go for finger printing.

Hi, I am observing the same challenge. I am eligible for Interview waiver. My visa was issues after 2008. Still after fee payment, https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ is asking to set up a OFC appointment. Am I doing something wrong?

Also, https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ does not have any field for enter visa issue date. So, how is OFC appointment related to visa issue date?

OFC & Interview are 2 different things. You can be waived for Interview, but you still need to go to OFC for fingerprinting.
