Hello Everyone,
My Wife i planning to invite her parents to USA. She is a conditional green card holder and does not work as of now. We checked online and came across website "http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-typeb1b2.asp". The required documents listed on this website are shown below
1. A Nonimmigrant Visa Electronic Application (DS-160) Form. Visit the DS-160 web page for more information about the DS-160.
2. A passport valid for travel to the United States with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the United States (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions). If more than one person is included in your passport, each person desiring a visa must submit an application.
3. One (1) 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm) photograph taken within the last six months. This web page has information about the required photo format.
4. If a visa is issued, there may be an additional visa issuance reciprocity fee, depending on your nationality. The Department of State's website can help you find out if you must pay a visa issuance reciprocity fee and what the fee amount is.
I have some questions and would highly appreciate if i could get some help.
Q1. Will I being a citizen of USA be able to sponsor their visa or does it have to be my wife?
Q2. I checked numerous other websites online and they talked about additional documentation like Tax returns, Affidavit Of Support Form(I-134), Bank Statements, Employment Letter, Recent Pay stubs. etc. Are these documents also required or do we just need the four listed above?
