6 months = 180 days or calendar 6 months?

Dear all,

My parents are coming to USA on B2 visa. I have reserved tickets for one day less to 6 months of a calendar year which are equal to 183 days. Can anyone help me in understanding the concept of 6 months stay on I94 card? Is it equal to 180 days or calendar year 6 months?

180 days.............but their stay will be determined when they get to the POE.......though most get 6 months (which usually is 6 calendar months on the I-94) its not automatic...........they might get less

For purposes of the I-94..........its 6 calendar months
For purposes of calculating overstay..............its days
