  • Affidavit of support for I-134

I am filling out the I-134 form to help 2 friends with their B2 visas.
Can I leave my social security number off of this form.
I am providing tax returns and w2?s I?d like to black out the social security numbers.
But the form is asking for it.
I worry about this information falling into the wrong hands
All of my info would be right there for inentity theft.

You can write these information in I134 & ask your friends to keep it safe.

For sure VO won't ask for that form & even if asked, they won't keep it with them.

Lastly, it would be better to have your friends self sponsor their visit, that way they'll prove that they are well to do in their home country, are a safe tourist only & won't ask for support from you/US govt once they are here.

I wouldn?t consider them all that well to do.
Their country is Tanzania, a poor country.
They do have jobs and family.
My wife and I are fully supporting them for a one month visit here.
Round trip airfare, visitor insurance, lodging and meals.
They are in the Tanzania tourism business.
We have traveled with them in Tanzania on 3 visits.
We are wanting to do the same for them.
I suppose since this form is not mandatory, leaving the ss number off wouldn?t be a big deal.
Or maybe black out all but last 4 digits.
