    Need help

    Can someone who has travelled by Air india to LA give me details on what the process is after disembariking from plane to catch a connecting flight to San Francisco. My mom is coming alone and my husband plans to go to LA to bring her, so where can they meet? Does she have to come out of the international terminal to go to the domestic one. Will she have to remove the baggage from LA and recheck it for SFO even if she has stated that the final destination for the luggage is SFO when she boards in Mumbai. Please help ASAP.

    Person always needs to collect the baggage and go through the customs at the first port of entry into the United States. Once you are out of the customs, go to the airline counter for submitting the bags again.
