My parents had their visa interview scheduled (in English) at the Chennai consulate on July11th 12:45pm. They waited for 2 hours before they were called to the counter. The VO (a lady) asked these questions to my parents (father retired, mother housewife, both me and my wife were sponsoring them)
1) Where did you work ?
2) When did you retire ?
3) Whom are you visiting in the USA ?
4) How long do you want to visit (My parents replied 6 months)
VO also asked for the sponsor documents and saw the first few documents that we had sent (did not take the I-134 which was surprising for me). My parents also voluntarily showed the photograph of my father's sister who was staying with them and who was being taken care by them. VO said your visa is approved and asked them to go and pay the fee.
We still don't know whether it's multiple entry or not but I sure hope it is. From what they observed, my parents said that most people were getting their visas and there were very few rejections.
Thanks for such a great site and thanks everyone for keeping it that way !
