i am looking for dates in chennai consulate in kannada for my mother's visa. I am getting the mssg as dates are not available. My Q's r

1> My mother has got HDFC bar code activated today. Eventhough dates are not able can she go ahead and fill the forms DS-156 and DS-157 forms at submit at VFS office in hyderabad.......and how will the VFS office people give the dates???

2> and if i am not wrong these forms can be filled online only if appointement dates are available online????

3> my father has 10acres of land...... should these be attested by CA? or tasildar

4> my husband is sponsering my mother do i need to send our original marriage , birth certificate to india

yes, you can fill the forms only if dates are available

Yes, your BC and marraige certificate in original are required
plz help

I am not sure how it works at VFS office, but for easy handling in future better fill the forms online rather than going to VFS office

Online appt is better

I suggest you do it online. VFS help line does not have any dates reserved for them. The procedure is also complicated it looks likes you have to give photos upfront for the appointment.

I checked it for my parents who lives in chennai.

It is always better you do it from here rather than troubling old people.

and if i understand correctly again
First dates shd be available
Second fill the forms online
Third i will be provided with option to select the date
finally i will be given appointement letter for the selected date

then i can keep changing the dates if i want to by cancelling the current appt
Finally my mother has to take the printout and attach the photo and sign it

could you please tell me what is the difference between barcode and HDFC receipt number

could you please tell me what is the difference between barcode and HDFC receipt number
HDFC receipt number is 10digit number with some letters and the barcode refers to barcode generated for the above number (hope i explained correctly)

Hi!

when i try to reschedule the appointment it says.. invalid reciept number. And you are saying that the HDFC reciept number includes letters? Mine does not have any .. except for a 10 digit number. Please help!
