pls help..parents visit visa

Hi,

I am currently in US on L1-B Individual visa on a project for an Indian software firm. My visa has expired but my petition/I-94 is still valid. I am planning to sponsor my parent's visit visa. I have 2 questions:
1. Can I sponsor my parents visa?
2. If my parents were issued visit visa and in case I return to India, would there be a problem in their coming to US?

I assume that you (or ur company) applied your extension and it is approved...by saying "my petition/I-94 is still valid"
1. If yes, you can sponspor your parents,
2. They can come to US as long as their visa valid (whether you are in US or not)

When I had been issued L1-B individual visa, then itself my petition was issued for 3 years and visa for 1 year. There is no extension filed. So in this context, can I still sponsor my parent's visa?
