  • Losing yellow HDFC fee receipt of $100

    Hi Everyone,

Please can you advise what needs to be done when the yellow HDFC fee receipt of $100 is lost. Should the fees be re-paid for taking the existing interview. OR should a new appointment be scheduled.

Any advise regarding this subject is apperciated.

    Regards,

Contact VFS for this. Only they can answer what options they will allow in this case.

And once you find out, please post here for the benefit of others.

In case you lost the HDFC reciept you can continue with the existing appt but you need to take a new HDFC reciept and take it to the interview. There wont be refund for once HDFC reciept is taken.
But again you can confirm with VFS.

        Lost Visa fee deposit slip

Is there any update on this issue? I have the same situation (lost the reciept), and I have interview in next week. But when contacted VFS, they told me I have to take new appointment. I am still thinking to take the chance and go ahead with copy of original slip. But any concrete information on this will be helpfull.

A person who was ahead of me where the person was checking the documents had the same situation. They lost the original, and produced a copy of the original plus they had their pink copy. It was not refused and they were not allowed to go for interview. This was in Delhi, but I am sure it works same at all embassies. Good luck to you

            Lost receipt

Thank you very much for your information. You have mentioned that he was NOT allowed for interview but I think you mean he was ALLOWED for interview. Please confirm this.

            Thanks again,
            TT

I apologize for the error. I meant that the man checking the documents refused the copy and the pink receipt, told them they have to have the original receipt. They did not get to go in for the interview. I do now know what else was said. I am not sure if it is the same person checking documents everyday at Delhi Embassy, but on 10 August, this fellow was very rude and holding bad attitude.
