Visa Issuance Fee - mandatory from HDFC???
Greetings All,
A question regarding the (Rs. 2300/$50) Visa Issuance Fee demand draft - is it mandatory to obtain that from one of those designated HDFC branches?
I realize that the "Visa Application Fee (MRV Fee)" and the "VFS Service Charge" fees ***must*** be paid at one of those designated HDFC branches. But nowhere in the US consulate web page there is any mention of where to obtain the DD for the Visa Issuance Fee, so I am assuming a Rs. 2300 DD from any nationalized bank will work. Please correct me if my understanding is incorrect. I plan on getting the Rs. 2300 DD closer to the actual appointment date, as it is not immediately needed.
