Visitor visa Date of birth document.

Hi,

Do we need to produce the "Date of birth certificate" of the sponsor (Daughter who resides in USA and Age: 30 years ) to get visitor visa stamping in India to her mother i.e. based out of India?
The reason is daughter's date of birth is not registered in birth records of govt. municipal office in India.

yes, BC for son/daughter is neded for parents Visa. Alternatives are: Notarised affidavit of birth from parents/relatives, notarised first page, showing date of birth, of the Matriculation cert.

VFS guidelines do not say other forms of verification of birth...Do we know for sure US consulates accept notarized copies of matriculation certificate equivalent to original BC ?
