Hi,
I have the following additional questions related to visitor visa. If will be really helpful if someone can answer these questions.

1. Is there a min amount of property parents need to show
in their documents. My parents plan to show around 10
lakhs (house+some bank balance). Is this a good
amount of money. We are sponsoring the trip.

2. Do they need to get the house (bought in 2001)evaluated to get the market price, or is it enough if we produce an affidavit notarized with approx fair market price.

3. As my mother and father are going for seperate appointments, can we have them prepare a single affidavit that says 'we have the following property' and list everything they have on either of their names there.

4. My mother has a bank account to which we send money from our NRO account some times. Is it ok to show the balance in that account as property.
Does she need to worry about the taxes for them.

5. As my father and mother are going for seperate appointments, do I need to prepare invitation letter and letter to consulate individually and can I mention them both in the same letter.

Please help

If CA requires evalated copy to prepare affidavit, you may need to get it done.

One of my friends was telling that my mother/father can be asked
what he/she would do if the other person's visa gets rejected if they say that they have seperate appointments,but still wants to travel together
(as specified in DS-156, who is travelling with you column)

How to handle such tricky questions in the interview. What can my mother say as she has the first interview. What can my father say in case my mother's visa gets rejected.

Can someone suggest me. This helps me to decide if I want to fill the accompanying traveler column in DS-156 or not.

They can say “though my spouse visa rejected this time, we would travel together once it is approved”
(Looks like you are too much worried as they got two separate appointments... don’t worry. Please attach all the documents specified in this site, and go thru user’s experience, you should be good… All the best)

Yeah. I am worried little bit. Thanks for the suggestions though. Most of my doubts are getting clairifed through this forum.

One more thing I wanted to check was , is that ok if I sign the DS-156 as I filled it on my parent's behalf. I know most of the people do it for parents, but wanted to check if thats a good way to do it or let my father sign it as he filled it.
