Collecting passport after visa

My parents are planning to stay in Chennai for few more days after the visa appointment in Aug.
So I was wondering if it is posisble to collect passports directly from the consulate or VFS office within 1,2 days after the visa appointment if the visa gets approved. Right now the delivery address in the visa appointment is given as their house address back in Hyderabad.
Any thoughts?

Yes, then can do that using "rush service", then can goto VFS office to collect the passport once it is handed over to VFS office from consulate.
