I-94 duration of stay in US: 15 days valid visa

Hi,

My parents had been given US tourist visa only for a year(Jan' 06-Jan'07).
We are planning their US trip by Dec'06 and strongly hoping that at the US immigration,they will be given I-94 duration of 6 months stay in US.

Please ensure me that I -94 DURATION of 6mths will be given for a VALID VISA as per on date of entry to US irrespective of the period(nearly a mth ) and type of visa(tourist).My husband on L1 and myself on L2.

No such guarantee, it all depends on Officer at POE.
