Can I sponsor now for Dec Appt.

I am sponsoring for my family to USA and I have the Visa dates only in late Dec 2006. To begin the process, can I get the bank statements (USA) & complete all the other documentation processes now itself and or shud I start doing these formalities only close to the visa dates. (i.e., like late Nov or early Dec 2006). Any ideas????

Documents should not be older than 30 -45 days from the date of interview

As it takes lot of time of get an appointment (around 6 months), it is OK to have the papers up to 1 year old. However, more recent is better.
