Question Regarding DS 157

I am filling up 156 & 157 for my mom & dad. Both my parents are retired government employees. Do i really need to give the details of thier employment (12) and education (17) in 157. If i have to give then do i need to give phone numbers & dates. I know only the years. Without giving the phone number and exact from & to dates i am not able to save the application. Any thoughts & suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
