my mother in law is currently here for 6 months. she has a 10 multiple entry visa.
how long does she have to wait before she could return?

So what could happen if someone tries to return sooner? Would they acutally
get turned back at the airport after landing?? Or only get a stamp for a couple weeks?

She can come back within any time frame.But there might be some chances of asking her for the reason why she is coming back within a short gap.
Also based upon that she might get the visa issued for shorter period.
