I am thinking of applying for visa for my mom. She is a government employee. She already received passport on the year of 2003 . But from reading this forum I came to know that we have to obtain the 'No Objection Certificate(NOC) ' first before applying for the passport.
Why do we need NOC? for passport or travel or visa ? Should I go ahead and apply for the NOC for Visa and travel?

NOC is required for Visa not for passport.
You can go ahead and apply for Visa
