Visit Visa applied one year back

Hi, I applied for the visit visa in August 2005 and successfuly approved everything but they said we need to get confirmed from Washington till now no news no body called me. what should I do, is it a good step to apply again.
Remember I am also married and my wife already applied for K3 visa, now in this situation what would be the good step...
plz plz seeking for experts suggestions and advices.
