Mom got visa this time

All Members here,

We were so much worried and fed up with the procedures to apply for visa. My Mother almost lost hopes and she said she does not want to apply for visa again.But I forced her to apply and 4th time she got the visa valid for 1 year. I am happy that atleast now she can come and see us.
My Father passed away 10 years back and as per most of them tell, this might have been the reason for rejection last 3 times. But this time I wrote a letter to the Senator and she emailed Chennai office,requesting to grant visa.I also personally wrote a letter highligting the reason why my Mom will go back to India.
So we dont know which reason was helpful. But atleast she got the visa this time for 1 year.
Thanks to all immihelp team and everyone posting here.If anyone needs help I am always ready to help because I know how it feels when our Mom's visa is rejected. So lets try to help each other.

format of letter to senator....

Congratulations to you and your mom for getting the visa in the 4th attempt... my parents will be trying the 3 time and i know what you mean by you had to force her to appear for the visa... I am doing the same with my parents...
Anyways If you could post the format to senator here and also how many days prior to the appt did you contact a senator?
My parents will appear on sept 14th so do i have enough time to send a request to a senator?

I am Glad your Mother made it Congratulations!. My mother has been rejected 3 times . I took 8 months for 3rd attempt but all in vain. They were reluctant to even look at the her papers and rejected her application today 08/07 . Msg you posted has boosted my morale as i has lost total confidence.
I appreciate you comming forward to help the team.
Can you pl post the procedure and format. I am planning to get the next available appointment.

I called the Senator like 2 months before the interview , but they sent a letter to Chennai embassy just 1 week before the interview. I will post the format of the letter by today evening.

2. First talk to the local Senator on phone and just write a general letter stating the reasons like 214b rejection and ask them to help you out in the letter. But I kept on following up with the Senator , even if they did not respond on time. So finally they sent a reqest letter to Embassy just 1 week before the interview.
So we dont know whether the Embassy people really got an email from Senator / they even read my letter ect . But I think it is some power / luck .When the time comes it happens. So dont loose hopes.

I was looking for the format since months.. as my mom has been rejected 3 times too.. we will be making another attempt on nov 17th.. we are praying that we should get it, as I am carrying and my due date is in dec. We wil contact our locoal senator. But more than anything your encouragement is a boost to our hopes. Thanks a million!

Keep up the hopes , I have faced the same kind of days where I wanted my Mom to come for my delivery and her visa was rejected and we had to manage everything . But the years have gone by and now my son is almost 4 years in October and now my Mom got the visa. My Mom is finally able to come for his 4th Birthday.You may know how I went through this all these years waited with patience.So it is something that some of us under go. So keep up your strong will power and be brave.All the Best !

Jiggypav, don't worry!! Your mom will get the VISA. We are expecting our first in September and we were also extremely worried about my parents' visa. Thankfully a similar letter that I wrote got them the VISA.

my mother is rejected visitor visa three times. the last time she applied was june 6th. I had written a perosnal letter and also had letter from senator when my mom applied.. that never helped me. i applied after 12 months of her second rejection

Next time try telling about your sister / brother if you have any in India or about old grandparents , own house ect
