Hi,
First of all, you can postpone the appointment only once. If you try to postpone the second time, the HDFC receipt will be deactivated for 60 days (very weird, huh!). This is the info I got from reading others' posts. Please confirm that it is right by reading others' posts and/or contacting the VFS office directly. I never tried this and hence I don't have the first hand information on this subject.
If at least one of your parents can speak English, you can keep the English appointment as there is a loooong wait for the Telugu/Regional appts. Also, I have seen people struggling to change the language from English to Telugu or vice versa. Somehow the VFS software system saves the original language selection and it will be a big mess to make any changes.
Good luck to your parents!!
- Jaya.
