  • B2 Visa for Parents | L1 Sponsor

    Hi,

I entered US in May 2006 on a Blanket L1 Visa, with my wife who is on an L2. I need my parents to visit us to assist in my wife's pregnancy. The delivery is due around Feb-March 2007 and she was not pregnant when she entered the US.

Can anyone please give me a detailed list of documents which will be needed from me and my parents side, for them to apply for a Visa? I checked the site but got confused, thats why I'm asking for someone who has prior experience to assist me.

I dont have any tax return forms for US, but I have salary stubs since May 2006.

Also, whats the duration for which visas would be granted?

    Thanks

Did you take the appointment for visitor's visa?
If not, and if you will take in near future you may get interview date in Jan/Feb 2007 and by that time you will get your W-2 form for year 2006.

Make sure intention of the trip is tourism and not assisting pregnancy.

If you are sponsoring them you need to send them I-134, your last 4-5 months pay stubs, employment letter, your birth cert., Bank statment etc. But all those documents will be required at the time of interview and not at the time of taking appointment.

So if you would like your parents to be here by feb/march you should apply for visa by now to get an appointment in Jan/Feb.

    Hope this helps.

    All the best.
