Hi All.
Currently I am on H1B visa. I will be completing my H1B Visa 3 years on 1st October 2006. My H1B Extension is filed on 14th August 2006 and now it will take 3-4 months to get the I-797 Approval Notice.
My issue is, I am plannig to invite my mother here and I have taken an Visa Interview appointment on 2nd November 2006 in India.
Now by the time she will be going for Visa Interview at the US Consulate in India, I will be not getting my I-797 approval notice here to send her for Visit Visa along with the documents needed at the time of interview. But I will be having an Reciept for my H1b Extension with LIN #.
Here I would like to know that the H1B Extension recipet will work to get her Visit Visa??. OR She must have my new I-797 approval notice with her when she will be going for Visa Interview.
Please provide some advice and suggestions OR if anyone pass thru with this kind of situation then please share with me. ASAP please
