Query on Visitor Visa

My father is working in a bank and has taken 2 months off to visit me in the US.

Does he need a leave sanction letter or any other kind of documents if he is arriving to US on visitor visa?

Please do let me know if he needs any documents to be carried since he is employed in India.

I assume he already has the visa.
At entry only quick questions are asked ; purpose and duration of visit.
Documents are checked rarely in complex cases. But still he should keep
an invitation letter from his host ready with his passport and other documents ;leave letter and copies of other documents that he showed at the embassy in the bag in case they are asked for.
