I94 stamping error

Hai my parents came july 26th to chicago. In my moms passport I94 stamp was correct and mentioned untill jan 25th. But in my fathers passport start date was there but they did not mention untill when?.
so my husband called chicago port of entry people. They said in the system it was mentioned as untill jan25th. so it will be no problem if not stamped in the passport.
I'm worried still it can cause any problems in the futurereturn journey?
please share if any body faced this problem

You must visit the CBP office and get it corrected. The expiry date on
I-94 is the only proof a visitor has of his legal status in the US.
If ever there is a problem with authorities while in US, he will be considered to be illegal since there is no end date on the I-94.

And they should always keep a copy of their I-94s for their records before depositing them at the airport while departing US. They can be useful if there is ever a problem at future entries.
