  • Emigration status in the passport

hi i have taken an appointment for my mom in sept 2006 . The question i have here is regarding the " Emigration status in the passport " .
Just recently i came to know that in my mom's passport
ECNR ( Emigration Check Not Required )has been cancelled , instead of being ticked and ECR (Emigration Check Required ) has been ticked, instead of being cancelled (she is above 50, working as an goverment employee and also a degree holder). I checked my passport and in mine it shows as, ECNR is ticked and ECR is cancelled. i'am confused, can anyone please guide me here, as what has to be done exactly. She has never travelled outside india, so far .
My question here is does she need to change the status, will it effect her interview ? and if so, does she have to correct it before the interview or can she get it done later after the interview.
Please need some advise regarding this .
Thanks in advance for all the help.
