hi all
im new to this forum and will be glad if anyone post their suggestions,Im working as a clinical microbiologist and my dad retired govt doctor but still working in a private hospital mom house wife,we 3 want to apply for visitors visa to visit usa.we dont have any blood relations in usa ;like own brother or sister to sponsor for us.we have only cousins.are the sponsoring docs required and can cousins sponsor for us?if anybody knows about this will be appreciated for their valuble suggestions,

Hello.
Some important points to note;
*Financial Sponsorship is NOT mandatory. If you can afford the trip, you should avoid it and always show self financing to the visa officer. This goes in the applicant's favour indicating financial strength in India and thus less
likelihood to stay back in US.
*If one does go for sponsorship; sponsorship by direct relatives only is advised and not cousins. Eg . Children sponsoring parents is considered
'natural' but cousins sponsoring cousins is not.
*The purpose of visit should be clear cut. Like the three of you going
for a close family wedding is fine but going for a casual visit to cousins
may arouse suspicion.
*You must have close ties in India that you will come back to;
a permanent well paying job/business and a dependent family member
are most important.

In your case, the purpose seems casual and if all 3 of you apply
with a sponsorhip from cousins, without leaving a family tie in India;
it is the best recipe for a denial.

If you wish to go for real tourism, I suggest, your parents should go first,
leaving you in India as a family tie. They should show plenty of money,
and a tentative booking with a package tour. If they have prior visits
to other countries, that will help.
