  • Is person holding F-1 or H-1 better for sponsoring B-2 visa?

I am planning to invite my parents to visit me. I am on F-1 (student)visa but I can show around $20,000 as the bank balance. I am worried because a student's salary is not too high.
On the other hand,my husband is on H-1 visa on 7th year extension for 3 yrs. His visa date on the passport is expired & I read in some forums that VO rejected the visa based on expired date on the visa ( stamped in the passport). Can this be a problem?

In short, I would like to know who ( me, my husband or both of us) should apply for B-2 visa for my parents? Also, can two people fill I-134 as the sponsor?

    Thanks in advance.

I would suggest that your husband sponsor the visa rather than you. (I assume he is having valid H1, which is not yet stamped in his passport).
Well, you can show enough bank balance, but VOs also takes consideration of regular income flow while issuing visitor visas.
If you are still worried you can ask your parents to go for self-sponsoring.
