delivery of Passport HELP !

My in laws got approved for visitor visa at Delhi consulate on 8/31. My father in Law got his passport delivered on 9/5. For my mother in law the status on the VFS says.

"Your passport has not been handed over to VFS. Kindly contact our regional call centers or call our toll free no. 18004 25 0025 for further queries"

I'm really worried about this situation. Why one password was delivered and the second one not. Any suggestions?

Generally it takes 2-4 business days, it not yet received,please call the VFS number

VFS is saying the same thing.

"Your passport has not been handed over to VFS".

This is very frustating. On US embessy web site they ask to contact VFS if you did not get your passport in 7 days. And VFS say they did not got it embessy. Is there a contact number direct to the embessy. VFS helpline is not very helpfull. An yinformation is helpfull.
