Visitor Visa Rejected

My parents went for visitor visa interview on 9/11/2006 and got rejected on the grounds that both children live in US.Interview was in telugu at chennai consulate. I got the date 6 months ago. telugu interview dates waiting time is ~6mo:-(

General questions asked:
How many children?2
who is the sponsor?me
where does he work?
how long he's been in us?9yr
Is your second child a son? no, daughter
where does she live? ny,US
VO said that you wouldnt come back as both your children live there.My dad tried to explain by saying we have our house/business/properties in here..but that didnt cut it. VO handed 214b form.

Any ideas on how to proceed? can i apply for next interview immediately?

There are many ppl on this forum who said their visa successful in 2nd or 3rd try though all kids are in US. (Search in this forum for more details).
