  • Applying Visitor visa Within 6 months of Old Visa

    Hi,

My parents originally got 1 year visa - From Oct 2005 to Oct 2006. They are now in USA. They are going back to India in OCT 2006.

I have taken an appointment for their US visa in Feb 2007. So that means after they come back to India, there will be only 5 months gap before they go to Visa appointment.

Is that going to be a risk? Will the visa officer think that they are applying "too early"? Any suggestions/experiences?

    Thanks a lot

high chance of visa being rejected

my parents did the same thing they visited US and had their interview in 5 mnths after their first visit, their visa was rejected twice and they managed to get it a 3rd time after 1 1/2 years. The first 2 visa interviews were held on a 6 month interval after their first visit to the US. It causes a lot of hardships if visa is rejected as it ends up being a plain waste of money. For safety purpose try after 1 year , ofcourse everything depends on their luck too and circumstances like financial status etc.
