DS157 Question

Hi,

When I booked the appt for my parents, I filled out DS157 for both of them.

1) However I recently noticed that the DS157 form on the VFS site is expired in 2005

2) Also the guidance sheet that I printed out after saving the application says that DS157 is only for people 15 to 55 years of age. So it is not clear why the system forced me to fill the DS157 for both my parents who are over 60?

Can someone explain this "yet another" VFS non-sense to me?

1. That's fine. Very usual. Many times the dates are not updated by Dept. of State but that is the only latest form available from government.

2. In India, DS-157 is required for everyone. Look at /us-visa-and-immigration-forms/ds-157.html

When i was taking the appointment for my uncle first time, i had to fill the Form 157. Today i reschedule his appointment, this time it did not ask for FROM 157, I had to fill only form 156. May be that form is no longer needed.

Actually when I entered application for my mother ( under 55) I got 157 , but for my father i didn't get 157 application form ( over 55)

whether its normal?
