  • B2 Tourist Visa for parents

    Hi,

I am working for Accenture India.
I have come to US on H1B Visa during the month of June 2006 and staying in US until the month of March 2007.

As I am in US for only certain time period, Accenture is paying me Per Diems and Indian Salary. I dont have pay stubs here as I am not on US - Accenture Payroll. I have no bank account on my name here, but I do have a ForexPlus Card - HDFC bank (Dollar Card) with a balance of 5k USD.

I wish to bring my mom for 3 months along with my kid and spouse. Company is sponsoring entire expenses for my kid and spouse. There is no problem in getting my spouse and kid on H4.

For my mom, they ask me to pay for the ticket alone, but they will take care of her visa expenses, stay and food expenses in US.

How do I proceed and process the B1/B2 for my mom? Will this forexplus card statement be considered as my Bank Statement?

Your advice is appreciated very much.

    Thanks
    - Swathi

    1. If you are on H1, then you shld have US off pay stubs, bank statements for the same etc.
    2. What is Employment letter is going to contain that you are US employee or India employee?
    3. I assume that forexplus is something like secured credit card and the balance on that may not be considered as bank balance
    4. For your mother it is better to say self-sponsor rather than you sponsoring the trip
