Visa interview question!!

I need some advice. My father has a visa interview, my mother already has visa and she has been to US last year. Now if my father is asked why didn't you travel last time what should he say. In reality he could not travel as we have individual home and couldn't find a suitable person/caretaker to look after it for a long period. Our relatives stay close to our home though.

Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

If he says that he stayed back to take care of your home, the immediate next question will be 'then, who will care for your home if both of you go together this time?'. Be prepared for a good answer for this question.

Was your dad working last time when your mom visited USA? If so, he can say that he couldn't get enough leave from work and hence did not accompany his wife.
