Error in passport issuance date

While filling out the visa application form, I wrote the wrong passport issuance date in DS 156(column 4). Now I cant edit it.Is there any way I can correct the problem without cancelling my appointment?

Ask your parents to inform this to the visa officer at the time of the appointment. Only the visa officer can modify the 'non-editable' fields. I have read several posts where such small mistakes did not create any problem at the interview. I don't think you need to cancel/re-schedule the appointment for this reason.
