  • Docs for retirement

My parents will be attending their visitor visa interview at Chennai soon. My dad is working currently and is retiring in a month and my mom is a homemaker. And we have strong family ties back home.
At the time of the interview my dad will be working but retiring from work at the end of the month. In this case, what are the docs that they need to get for his work status? is there any info on this forum for such a situation?
I have read in this forum that they would need employment letter and NOC if working or pension papers/book, if retired. since he is retiring soon, he won't have his pension papers nor his NOC as he will not be travelling till his retirement.

    Thanks in Advance!

If he is working at the time of interview, he should get employment papers as well. It does not matter that he is retiring soon.

If asked, he should be prepared to ask questions like how he is planning to support himself such as part time job/business, pension, investments etc.

Don't mention that he is retiring soon unless asked in the interview. He can take employement verification letter, pay stubs etc. If he is specifically asked for NOC or leave letter, he can say that he is retiring soon. Be truthful and at the same time don't volunteer any unwanted information unless asked.
